One of the best ways to spread good hand hygiene habits is through peer-to-peer education. Make your school and community a healthier place by helping spread the word. Enter a science fair, find a video contest, or create your own opportunity for community outreach.

Volunteering

  • Create a poster or display to hang on a school or community bulletin board.
  • Make a PSA to submit to a local broadcast radio or TV station.
  • Develop an announcement or display to include on the school website or screens.
  • Put on a school skit or play about the importance of hand hygiene. Write an article for the school or local paper.
  • Teach a classroom of younger students handwashing in a creative way (song, skit, reading a book, science experiment, etc.)
  • Create an exhibit booth for a local fair, festival, trunk or treat, or other community event.
